The following numbers lose their final consonant when followed by another word, such as a counter, age, time etc

(1) 하나 => 한
(2) 둘 => 두
(3) 셋 => 세
(4) 넷 => 네
(20) 스물 => 스무

Sino-Korean numbers are mostly used:
1) to mark ordinal usage: 열 번 means "ten times" whereas 십 번 means "number ten"
2) for counting the minutes and seconds of the hour OR
3) saying the hour in a 24 hour format (i.e. 십칠 시 = 17:00 -and not 5PM)
4) phone numbers. Sometimes for numbers 1 and 2 the Korean numbers are used instead.
5) money
6) Age (when using -세 instead of -살)

Native Korean numbers are mostly used:
1) Age (when using -살 instead of -세)
2) Hour (time)
