Prepaid cellphone!!

Well I have to tell you this... if you come across the wrong people, you will be extremely disappointed with buying a phone but seriously in the end it wasn't that hard. All you need to do is find the correct store and have your passport with you!

Unfortunately most people at those stores, don't speak English and it took me like 4-5 days to actually manage to obtain a cellphone with a Korean number.

So here is what you should be asking them (if you want to buy a used cellphone & a prepaid card)

중고푼을 사고 싶어요. (Jung-gop-punul sagosi-poyo) = I want to buy a used phone
USIM 카두를 사고 싶어요 (USIM kadu-rul sagosi-poyo) = I want to buy a USIM card
Prepaid  형식으로 핸드폰을 쓰고 싶어요 (Prepaid hyeong-siguro hendipon-ul ssugosi-poyo) = I want it to be prepaid (metaphorically speaking)

And if you want to make sure your phone will be unlocked and still be able to work in Europe (or USA or whatever..)  just tell them this:

어떻게하면 unlock 한 채로 유럽에 가져갈 수 있나요? 유럽에서 핸드폰을 쓰고 싶어요.

Then all you need to do is select your phone & possibly your desired phone number and fill out an application and you are done!!

I simply hope you can come across the right store^^
